Short-lived foot pursuit ends near Maricopa High School

Early Saturday morning a man with multiple warrants was apprehended near Maricopa Meadows in a dirt lot after a short-lived foot pursuit.

The suspect, Jeremiah Lett, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

According to police documents, Maricopa Police Department was made aware of Lett being in the city.

Lett had a valid warrant from Nevada and Maricopa Police Department.

Officers began a search for Lett near his residence in the Maricopa Meadows at about 5:20 a.m.

Lett had been spotted running in the dirt lot north of Maricopa High School, ensuing a short foot pursuit.

According to police documents, during the investigation, it was seen that there were ‘no trespassing’ signs in the dirt lot where Lett was found.

Police said that after the short pursuit, Lett was arrested for his warrants and booked into Pinal County Jail.
