Maricopa residents: A chance to sound off about State Route 347 woes is coming up.
The Arizona State Transportation Board will hold a public meeting at Maricopa City Hall at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12.
Meeting details remain scant as a copy of the agenda is not yet available. However, Mayor Nancy Smith shared on social media residents should use the opportunity to “share what challenges they have with regards to state roads, such as SR 347.”
The board serves an advisory role to the director of the Arizona Department of Transportation and is responsible for awarding contracts and monitoring construction projects. The board meets monthly in cities across the state.
Residents looking to participate in a call to the public must complete a speaker form no later than 8 a.m. the morning of the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes per person.
