Public invited to art show opening

Colorful mixed-media works of art by six artists with unique abilities from Arizona Foundation for the Handicapped (AFH)-Maricopa branch, will grace the Maricopa Public Library media room, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road from Sept. 30 through Oct. 28.

You are invited to see the works of art at the opening of the show on Sept. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to noon and enjoy punch and cookies with the artists.

Since opening its doors last fall, AFH-Maricopa has continuously evolved its day treatment program for adults with developmental disabilities to fit the interests and abilities of the individuals who attend. Because of the varying personalities and interests of the individuals participating, each person’s artwork naturally reflects unique and different colors, designs, forms, materials and techniques.
