The Maricopa Babe Ruth League is looking to continue the success of its first seven months and will host registrations for this coming spring/summer season every Saturday at different locations starting this week.

The league will be at Pacana Park 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It is offering Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth Baseball and Softball for the spring/summer season for ages 8-18. The fee is $160 for a 20-game season from March 7-June 9.

Players will receive a full uniform (hat, jersey, belt, socks, and pants) that will be theirs to keep.

The league has also set up online registration at www.maricopabrl.org. The league also recommends visiting its Facebook page to stay up to date with all league activities.

The league started in June. Its first success was with the 14U Lady Titans Fast Pitch team, which represented the league at the Arizona Babe Ruth Softball tournament.

This fall the league introduced the Cal Ripken Baseball League and, like the softball division, the Cal Ripken teams did not disappoint.

Maricopa had six teams represented in the Central Arizona Interleague Championships in the age 10 and younger and 12 and younger divisions.

The Maricopa Sharpshooters 10U team went 17-1 and undefeated in the 10U Championships and the AZ Diablos 12U team went 23-1 and undefeated in the 12U Championships.
