Bartle: Congrats to winners

Congratulations Marvin Brown and Carl Diedrich on being elected to the Maricopa City Council. And to Marquisha Griffin and Tony Smith who were elected council member and mayor, respectively, in the March Primary.

The Maricopa voters wanted a clean slate, and that’s what we got.

As evident by my editorial last week, my ballot differed than most voters. But what’s done is done, and now it’s time to support Diedrich and the rest of the Council.

While inmaricopa.com will always have a watchful eye on government leaders and the political process, we whole-heartedly support the City Council in its effort to make Maricopa the best city in Arizona in which to live and do business.
