Bear could be your outdoor sports companion

55

Bear is a beautiful, black male Labrador mix.

He is approximately a year old and a medium size at 35 pounds.

Bear’s foster family rescued him, nursed him back to health and now they’re looking for his “forever” home.

Intelligent, playful, crate-trained and house-trained, Bear loves swimming, hiking and going on walks or runs. He’ll need an active family or person to play with him. In return, he’ll be a great only dog and loyal companion. His reaction to cats and/or horses is unknown, but he’d be great in a home with lots of room for him to run outside.

Bear loves having his belly rubbed and his Kong® toy. His vaccinations are up-to-date, and he is neutered and licensed.

Please call Devon or Trevor at 602-513-1058 if you’d like to meet Bear. He has a lot of love to give!

Special note from Pet Social Worker:  July 5 is Pet Social Worker’s busiest rescue day with many, many calls about lost dogs and cats that got spooked by the fireworks. Dogs and cats, who have never hopped eight-foot brick walls, dug under their gates or ripped down thousands of dollars in blinds trying to escape from the booms and flashes, do things they may have never done before.

If you will not be home to supervise your pet, and you have a new pet or one who is skittish / anxious, please take the following precautions:

*Close doggy doors for the night.
*Close all window blinds/curtains.
*Turn up radios, fans or any other “white noise” that will drown out the sound of the fireworks.
*Kennel your dog if he/she is kennel trained.
*Bring outdoor dogs in for the night.

A few extra minutes making sure your pet is safe is well worth it!
