A blood drive organized by the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church will be held Saturday in the multipurpose room of Maricopa Wells Middle School, 45012 W. Honeycutt Ave.
The drive is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and donors can walk in or make appointments.
The church holds a United Blood Services blood drive twice a year, said Grand Knight Chuck Morene.
“The community has been very good about it,” he said of past drives. “We usually have 55 to 60 people turn out.”
He said he was grateful to the school for donating the space, because in these hard economic times fewer and fewer schools are helping out their communities.
All donors will be automatically entered to win a 2011 Jetta S donated by the Valley Volkswagen dealers.
