Body found on greenbelt identified

The Pinal County Medical Examiner today confirmed the identity of a dead body found in Glennwilde last week.

The deceased man is Allen Moore Jr., according to PCME lead investigator Andre Davis.

The cause and manner of death are still pending investigation, Davis said.

Public records show a 51-year-old Maricopa resident by that name resided in the Villages.

Neighbors found Moore’s body Sept. 24 on the greenbelt around Pacana Park near Centennial Drive and Falcon Lane.

At the time, police did not note any “suspicious or identifying information at the scene,” according to Maricopa police spokesperson Monica Williams.

A GoFundMe page created last week stated Moore went missing for a couple days before his body was found near Pacana Park. A missing person report was not filed before his death, Williams said.
