On the next two Mondays Maricopa’s Brooklyn Boys Italian Restaurant will be hosting fundraisers for two local organizations.

The first to reap the benefits of the event will be Pet Social Worker, a non-profit organization that helps to find homes for abandoned or displaced pets.

Pet Social Worker, headed by Kimberly Diedrich, will receive a percentage of the restaurant’s dine-in sales on Monday, Sept. 28, from 4- 9 p.m.

On the following Monday, Oct. 5, the restaurant’s owners will donate a percentage of their day’s profits (from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.) to Against Abuse, Inc.-Maricopa, a non-profit organization working to build a shelter for battered women and children in Maricopa.

“This is a great way for us to give back to the community,” said co-owner of Brooklyn Boys, Vince Fiordilino. Brooklyn Boys Italian Restaurant is located at 20800 N. John Wayne Parkway.
