CAC hosts guitar recital

Central Arizona College guitar students will present a public recital on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Signal Peak Campus.

The recital will be held at 7 p.m. in Room T116 of the Gloria R. Sheldon University Center (Building T). There is no charge for the event.

An adjunct faculty member at Central Arizona College, John Sutton is in his third semester as the guitar and bass instructor at the institution. This will be his third student recital.

“The students’ abilities range from beginner to intermediate, and for most it is the first time they will perform for anyone other than their teacher,” Sutton said. “Some of the students will be playing their own pieces written during the semester. They may be performing finger-style or they may be playing with a plectrum. Several students will play an electric guitar.”
