Students can apply for Chamber of Commerce scholarships

The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce will award up to three scholarships for this year for $1,000 each.

At the annual Chamber Awards Banquet in January, a live auction took place, and the proceeds have funded the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Scholarships.

A scholarship committee composed of the members of the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Community Impact Committee and representatives from the membership at large, was formed and they will determine who will receive the scholarship awards.

Any graduating senior who resides in Maricopa and will graduate from an accredited Maricopa high school or program with a 2.75 to 3.5 GPA is eligible.

***ADVERTISEMENT***Applications are available at the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce office at 44870 W. Hathaway or at Maricopa High School. Applicants will need provide completed application, high school transcript, proof of acceptance from a post secondary institution, two letters of recommendation and an essay, answering the question, “Who is a great leader in history or business and how have they inspired you?”
 
Applications must be received in the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce office no later than May 1.
