Chick-fil-A said it wants to come to town — but couldn’t confirm plans to do so just yet.

The Atlanta-based evangelistic chicken chain, requested by many Maricopans on social media, told InMaricopa it’s mulling building a storefront in town.

“We would very much like to have a restaurant in Maricopa,” said a statement from Chick-fil-A to InMaricopa this morning, “but we have no new locations to confirm at this time.”

The statement comes just a month after competitor Slim Chickens opened its doors.
