The lights are on.
Mayor Christian Price on Friday night presided over the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree at Copper Sky Regional Park.
The tree was lit between the screenings of holiday films “Elf” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000) during the city’s first Merry Movies Under the Stars event.
Fireworks then lit up the sky to the amusement of moviegoers.
Local businesses and crafters sold their wares as well.
