City hosting experts for national transportation committee meeting

57

The National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering Committee (NMMTSC) will be hosted by the city of Maricopa on June 3-4, 2010, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort.

Everyone who is concerned about the future of transportation in Arizona and in the nation is urged to attend this meeting. With Congress considering a new surface transportation bill and taking up the FAA reauthorization, it is extremely important to join the NMMTSC as members continue to pursue the multi-modal transportation solutions the nation so desperately needs.

This event will bring together national and regional transportation experts to share and lean about Multi-Modal Transportation. Events will begin at 1 p.m. on June 3 along with a complementary reception/dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and continue on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the event’s conclusion at noon on June 4.

The National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering Committee was formed in March 2008 to create a collaborative forum advocating responsible transportation solutions that address long-term challenges facing the nation. Members represent various cities, counties, trade associations, businesses, transportation consultants and other non-profit organizations from across the country.
