Maricopans may soon have another fueling option away from the city’s main strip.

Tempe-based Circle K proposed constructing a new location on the northwest corner of Smith Enke and Porter roads, according to documents obtained by InMaricopa.

If built, the convenience store and gas station will be the city’s seventh gas station and the second located off John Wayne Parkway.

The proposed building will measure 5,200 square feet, making it about 600 square feet smaller than the Circle K sitting a mile south on Honeycutt and Porter roads. The gas station would also have 20 fueling stations, according to the project narrative.

Details on a timeline or when city officials may review and approve the request were not provided.
