Get ready for some big upgrades to Copper Sky’s dog park.

A new entrance and shade area are under construction at the Bark at Copper Sky, according to the city. Part of the dog park has been fenced off as crews complete the work.

Crews will start installing waterlines this week. The pathway between the active and timid dog parks will be closed Thursday until Jan. 18.

The project is expected to be finished in a few weeks, but variables could stall that timeline.

“We’re unable to give a final completion date as it will depend on the weather,” said city spokesperson Monica Williams. “Any rain prevents the team from doing concrete work, and there is some on the horizon this week.”
