CNC ‘making the cut’ to help Mariano family

82

Carla Neal, owner of CNC Barbershop & Spa, will join the fight to raise money for the Mariano family on Sunday.

The Mariano family was stuck by tragedy on Nov. 20 when a fire consumed their home, taking the life of 22-year-old Michelle Mariano and causing severe burns to two others. Those burned in the fire were Michelle’s one-year-old daughter, who was pulled from the fire by her three-year-old son, as well her her sister, Marion Mariano.

To help the members of the family, CNC will donate 100 percent of its proceeds on Sunday, Dec 13.

“I heard this tragic story and just felt like I had to do something,” said CNC owner Carla Neal.

In addition to Neal donating the profits, three of her stylists, three barbers and one massage therapist, all of whom work at the location, will donate their time for the event also.

“We are all behind this event,” she said.

Prices for the event will be as normal: $14 for children’s cuts; $15 men’s cuts; and $25 women’s cuts. Plus, CNC’s massage therapist will offer $1 per minute chair massages. Appointments will not be necessary as customers will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We have enough stylists working that day that waiting times should be short,” Neal said.
