Maricopa High School girls basketball coach Kati Burrows, who was named the Division II Coach of the Year by the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association on March 5, has now been named the All-USA Arizona American Family Insurance High School Girls Basketball Big Schools Coach of the Year.
The honors come after she led the Maricopa Rams to a 30-5 season and the Division II state title in her first year as head coach.
Burrows was assistant coach at St. Mary’s High School when they won two Division I state championships. She was assistant at Dobson High School last season, when they reached the Division I semifinals in the state tournament.
