Maricopa police arrested a woman after they said she tried to run over her ex-boyfriend with her car Monday night.

She missed her target not once — not twice — but three times before smashing into his car and making a quick exit, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa detailing the incident.

Just before 6:30 p.m., Maricopa Police Department responded to a home on West Cowpath Road in Senita after a reported disturbance. A woman had allegedly tried to hit her ex-boyfriend with a Nissan SUV.

A man told cops his former lover and business partner tried to run him over three times.

Rehema Namuddu, 30, allegedly failed to hit the man but struck his Toyota SUV before fleeing.

Officers saw tire impressions in the front yard and damage to the man’s parked Toyota in the driveway.

Namuddu returned to the home, where police said she admitted she “threatened” to run her ex over and that she might have caused a fender-bender during the rampage.

Police did not specify what caused the altercation.

Namuddu was arrested and booked into Pinal County jail on charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage. A third charge was tacked on for leaving the scene of a collision.
