Great Reads: Still time to sign up for reading program

I’d like to begin this latest edition of Great Reads with a special announcement.

If you haven’t signed up for the Maricopa Public Library’s Summer Reading Program there’s still time. Registration ends on June 2.

Yours truly has registered and my personal goal is to read more than 40 hours. Now, I regretfully admit I haven’t even come close the past couple of years, but I vow to change all that this year. 

One of my new favorite author’s, Leila Meacham, has a new book coming out in June, and I plan on reading Jonah Leher’s Imagine to name just a few that will dot my nightstand this summer.

Here’s an added bonus, if you reach the 40-hour goal, your name will be included in a grand prize drawing at the end of the program. This is a great opportunity for residents to participate in and the rewards will last a lifetime.
