H&N Landscape says goodbye to fallen friend

426

As many already know, the H&N Landscape family suffered a tragic loss of not only an employee but a true friend. William “Billy” Kanefsky was leaving his home in the Maricopa neighborhood of Rancho Mirage on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. As you may remember, it was a windy, gusty day. While Billy was riding out of his neighborhood, he lost control of the motorcycle and ended up crashing into a “No Parking” sign. The police stated that although the cause of the accident is uncertain, the most likely case was the wind. There was no evidence of a malfunction of the motorcycle or reckless driving or speeding. Basically it is a tragedy that is beyond comprehension.

Billy had a promising life ahead of him. He was the Lead Maintenance Manager for H&N Landscape and was on his way to the top of the ladder. He was to be married to Denise Dickey, who is also an employee of H&N Landscape. She meant the world to Billy, as he did to her. They had recently bought their new home in Rancho Mirage and were looking brightly into their future together here in Maricopa. Anyone who knows them knew that they were perfect for one another.

Billy was 45 years old and loved his life. He appreciated everything that he had and was never greedy or selfish. He would do anything to help out a friend or someone in need. Billy had spent many a Saturday on his own time to donate his time to Copa Cares, community cleanups, helping out the Rotary Club or helping out at a community BBQ. He recently said about his life: “I finally have everything that I could ever want in my life, an amazing girl, a new house, and a Harley Bud!”

We at H&N Landscape were privileged to have known Billy. He always put a smile on your face. He was never down, always up. We will all miss him.

A memorial fund has been set up at Bank of America. It is the Denise Dickey Family Assistance fund: Acct # 4570 1499 1127

Although we know that times are hard, if you would like to donate, please stop by Bank of America; any donation large or small will be much appreciated.

Sincerely,
The H&N Landscape Family
