Have ‘dinner with Santa’

The public is invited to join Santa at Pima Butte Elementary School tonight, Dec. 10, for spaghetti, photos, arts and crafts.

“It is a real fun night for every one,” said Matt Montoya, Pima Butte’s principal. The “Dinner with Santa” event is hosted by the school’s parent-teacher organization as a way of raising funds for upcoming school activities.

The cost of child’s ticket is $7, which includes dinner, a craft and a photo with Santa; parents get in for $5. Dinner consists of a beverage, spaghetti, salad and bread. There’s no word on whether Santa plans on having a pre-photo-shoot meal. However, Montoya said a little spaghetti in the beard helps to build character.

The school has hosted the annual “Dinner with Santa” event since its opening, and saw a record crowd of nearly 150 people last year.

“This is going to be a great event, and we look forward to another large turn out,” Montoya said.
