InMaricopa.com posed a question to readers after bar patrons unsuccessfully attempted to prevent an impaired man from driving on Oct. 30. The Maricopa man died minutes later when his motorcycle rear-ended a car on Honeycutt Road.

The question was: What would you do to stop someone from driving impaired?

Of the 200 responses, more than a third said they, too, would forcibly try to stop an impaired person.

7%    Nothing – none of my business
14%  Suggest they not drive
43%  Call the police
34%  Take their keys, physically stop them
3%    None of the above
