Jake wants to go from stray to well-loved pet

Jake, a five-month-old hound mix, is a sweet, stray pooch found wandering, skinny and scared.

He was taken in by a wonderful Maricopan who didn’t want to see Jake wander any longer. She immediately booked a vet appointment for him and began feeding him a healthy, steady diet of puppy food instead of whatever he could find in the desert.

He is a very good boy. Although he is a little scared of new people, he warms up to them quickly, and he warms up to other dogs as well. No idea of how he is with cats.

Jake is doing well with leash training and basic command training.

He is neutered, and, when he is full grown, he will likely be a medium-sized dog.
