Lady Rams basketball chalks up “W” over South Pointe

The Lady Rams are having a championship season. Monday night they defeated the South Pointe Griffins, 60-47, led by Maricopa High School point guard Yvonne “Yo” Nuguid (#33) with 28 points.

This victory brings the Lady Rams season record to 9-4.

Additional point leaders were Jessica Schwanbeck (#34) with 18 points and Danielle Heidema (#24) with 9.

The Lady Rams will play in the ‘Copa Classic basketball tournament hosted by Maricopa High School on Dec. 27-28. This tournament includes boys and girls’ basketball teams from around the state.

Maricopa High School’s Booster Club encourages residents to come out and support their teams.
