Legacy Traditional School hiring, job fair this weekend

It’s been a bumpy ride for Legacy Traditional Charter School in Maricopa.  The Legacy District currently has schools in Maricopa, Casa Grande and Queen Creek.  In the past few years, the Maricopa campus has gone from temporary trailers to a permanent campus now located off Porter Road. Through the long funding and permitting process, there have been times parents wondered if it would all materialize as promised.  

 

Now, not only is the school flourishing, it is planning to open three new campuses in the fall.  Legacy is adding schools in Avondale, Chandler and Northwest Tucson. Dr. Dana Croatt is currently the principal at Legacy Maricopa, but with her home in Chandler she will be transferring to Legacy’s new location in that city.  Several other teachers currently working at Maricopa will be making similar moves.

 

“It has been a pleasure working at Legacy Traditional School-Maricopa for the past three school years” said Dr. Croatt.  “The school has grown in so many ways, and I am extremely proud to be a part of the process.”

 

This expansion is creating job openings both in Maricopa and at Legacy’s five other schools. In an attempt to recruit the best candidates, the school is hosting an on-campus job fair on Saturday, April 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., conducting screening interviews for teaching and administrative positions for the 2011-2012 school year for all campuses.
