While Maricopa Unified School District children are back in school already, those who will be attending Legacy Traditional are still at home waiting.
However, they will not be waiting much longer. The charter school is hosting a school kickoff party at Pacana Park, 19000 N. Porter Road, on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from noon until 4 p.m.
The whole family is invited for lunch, games, water activities and overall family fun. Teachers and staff will attend the Pacana Park party and be available to meet families and their children.
During the party there will be a designated area where administrators will be available to answer questions from 12 to 2 p.m.
The first day of school at Legacy Traditional is Monday, Aug. 25.
