Little League sign ups for ages 8-12 this week

There’s still time to register for Maricopa Little League softball and baseball teams online and onsite at Pacana Park 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for the March 24 opening day of the 8- to 12-year old minor and major divisions.

Evaluations will be Thursday and Saturday at the park and players are required to attend one session.

Both days:
Age 8 — evaluation check-in 5:30 p.m., with evaluations starting at 6 p.m., field 1.
Age 9 — evaluation check-in 6:30 p.m., with evaluations starting at 7 p.m., field 1.
Age 10 — evaluation check-in 7:30 p.m., with evaluations starting at 8:15 p.m., field 1.
Age 11 – evaluation check-in 5:30 p.m., with evaluations starting at 6 p.m., field 2.
Age 12 0 evaluation check-in 6:30 p.m., with evaluations starting at 7 p.m., field 2.

The league is halfway through its Challenger/Tee Ball/Machine Pitch season with eight teams for both Tee Ball and Machine Pitch. The league fielded four Challenger teams. Closing ceremonies will be March 3.

Maricopa Little League’s seniors softball and baseball divisions for ages 13-16 start play in May.
