New images show the extent of damage after a house fire last night in Maricopa Meadows.

Maricopa police and fire responded to a home on West Guilder Avenue around 10:30 p.m. last night. Crews contained the fire in the garage and extinguished it “quickly,” according to spokesperson Monica Williams.

Williams said one person sustained a minor injury to the finger. The Jaguar XJ X350 and Toyota Tundra inside the garage didn’t fare so well, sustaining serious damage after the ceiling collapsed.

The garage door collapsed into several pieces and the interior walls were damaged badly. The scene is closed off and labeled a “life hazard.”

No firefighters were injured last night. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
