Make your tax dollars work for you and local schools

42

Looking for a tax write-off that can benefit the community?

Then consider the Maricopa Unified School District. Arizona tax law allows taxpayers to receive a tax credit of up to $400 for donating money to public schools.

The credit is a dollar to dollar, meaning that if individuals donate $100, they receive a tax credit of $100.

All taxpayers can participate in the program regardless of whether they have children in the district or not. A single filer can donate up to $200, and a couple filling jointly can donate up to $400.

Donors can specify what school and program their tax credit dollars are used for.

Schools in the Maricopa Unified School District are:

Butterfield Elementary School
Desert Wind Middle School
Maricopa Elementary School
Maricopa High School
Maricopa Wells Middle School
Pima Butte Elementary School
Saddleback Elementary School
Santa Cruz Elementary School
Santa Rosa Elementary School

To make a donation or for more information on donating, contact the district office at (520) 568-5100.
