Officials say they suspect no foul play after investigating a dead body at a local sports bar this morning.

It was just before 9 a.m. when Maricopa Police, Fire and Medical personnel responded to The Roost at 20800 N. John Wayne Parkway.

First responders were dispatched after reports a man was unresponsive and not breathing.

“Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced deceased,” city spokesperson Monica Williams said.

“Preliminary investigation of the incident did not reveal any indications of foul play.”

Williams directed reporters to The Roost for further information. The sports bar didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The man’s name and age are not yet known.
