Maricopa Wells choirs perform for families and friends

Maricopa Wells Middle School choir students sang for their friends and families Monday night as part of their holiday concert.

Parents entered the multi-purpose room with cameras and camcorders, ready to capture the moment when their children took the stage. Dressed in blue school polo shirts and black pants, each group performed a series of songs, ranging from “Celtic Gloria” to “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.”

The Maricopa Secondary Choral Program, directed by Angela Marshall, has three levels of choir: the Panther Singers, Panther Chorale and MWMS Advanced Choir. After each of the three groups performed, students sang “Throw Open Your Shutter” as a mass choir finale.

During the performance Marshall thanked everyone for attending and providing the students the opportunity to share the musical selections they have been working on recently.
