Maricopans get a chance to ogle exotic cars

Lamborghinis, Mercedes, Ferraris, and Porsches dressed the parking lot on Friday at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort.

No, it wasn’t because high rollers were passing through.

Rather, it was a chance for Maricopans to view some exotic cars as the Bullrun Rally neared its final destination in Phoenix.

The cars, and their drivers, have been on the road for eight days and seven nights. They first revved their engines in Calgary, Canada.

Hot looks and style aside, the cars weren’t up to the task of convincing many to take on the scorching Arizona heat to check out the expensive wheels.

With temperatures outside at or near 105 degrees Farenheit, and the lure of cool air and cold cash inside, it’s no wonder most guests appeared to prefer to take a quick glance before trying their hand at winning enough chips to buy a sweet ride of their own.
