‘Twas three weeks before Christmas, and all through the town,
Maricopans were stirring, their cocoa so brown.

Children ate cookies and gingerbread loaf,
Santa and Mrs. Claus were played by Jim and Alice Shoaf.

Families and friends gathered at Copper Sky,
Waiting for the tree’s twinkle to dazzle their eye.

Some wore ugly sweaters, adorned with bells and lights,
It was quite the contest that Saturday night.

The smell of food trucks and sounds from carols filled the air,
Performances by Legacy Choir added some flair.
