Nando’s Mexican Café sweetened its November grand opening with plans to pour cocktails to-go.

The locally owned restaurant stocked souvenir stadium cups for takeaway margaritas, a service it offers at its other locations in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa and Queen Creek.

Nando’s plans to time the promotion with its fall opening. Details about design and quantity have yet to be confirmed, Director of Operations Marijka Anderson told InMaricopa.

Other festivities surrounding the ribbon cutting include a mural unveiling by Phoenix artist Adam “A-bomb” Vigil.

The restaurant intended to begin hiring next month with an early November opening, but those plans were halted by construction delays. Anderson, however, estimated interior work to begin this month.

“I believe we will put the word out for hiring mid-October and start training staff in November,” she said.

The Maricopa location is the fifth for the Gilbert-based chain and its first outside the Phoenix suburbs.
