A five-run sixth inning helped lift the Maricopa High School baseball team to a 6-5 victory over Casa Grande Vista Grande Friday night.

On an evening which featured special T-shirt giveaways, as well as the presence of a DJ, the Rams avenged an earlier 10-0 loss to the Spartans on the road.

Tristan Hartley paced the MHS attack with a pair of hits, while Steven Kogutkiewicz and Jesus Orci-Vega each delivered a pair of RBIs.

Hartley also got the victory in relief. He threw 6.2 innings, striking out eight.

The Rams, now 7-15, visit Casa Grande Tuesday and Chandler Seton Catholic Thursday before hosting Chandler Valley Christian in their final home game, Friday at 7 p.m.
