MHS student to accept $500 scholarship from local chamber

The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce has named Michael Christopher Wilson the recipient of its 2008 $500 scholarship.

Wilson plans to attend Arizona State University this fall and major in aerospace engineering.

His application was one of 11 the chamber received this year from students at Maricopa High School.

“The choice was a tough one,” said Terri Kingery, the chamber’s executive director. “We chose Michael because of his passion for the aerospace industry and engineering.”
