Members of the Pima Butte MOMS Club who visited Equine Eden Horse Rescue in Maricopa March 13 had a chance to interact with horses up close.

“The children had a wonderful time grooming, feeding, riding, and learning about the care of these amazing animals from the owner Belinda Clifford,” a club spokeswoman said.

Equine Eden is a Non-profit shelter and sanctuary for all equines, dedicated to helping them by offering them a second chance at a new life. They rehabilitate and retrain some of the horses that come to the shelter, so that they may find new homes, through its adoption process.

Adoption fees range from $100 to $1,200 depending on the animal and associated costs.

“We offer a sanctuary and retirement section for all Equines that cannot be adopted. Due to age, medical condition, emotional or physical problems resulting from abuse,” Clifford said.

For information about the center visit www.equineeden.org or call (520) 520-568-9315.
