Maricopa homeowners were ravaged by a gang of auto thieves Sunday night, so they said in a slew of posts on the Ring app yesterday.

Multiple users in the Maricopa Meadows shared security footage showing people checking car doors to see if they were locked near North Kari Lane and West Tucker Road.

Another user in Desert Passage reported a truck was broken into on West Nicole Court but did not share any footage.

Maricopa Police Department received multiple reports of such break-ins over the weekend.

MPD received three reports of vehicular burglary, according to city spokesperson Monica Williams. Two were confirmed and remain under investigation:

In those cases, MPD has limited or no suspect information.

The third report was renounced by the caller. The caller told police his car was broken into, and a breathalyzer was missing, but it was later found in a toy box inside his home.
