Every school in the Maricopa Unified School District underwent a lockdown drill today. Held annually, these drills are a vital reminder to students, teachers and staff of how to react in case of emergency.
While highly unlikely in any school, these necessary precautions are designed to implement the best practices in some of the worst situations.
