MUSD parent supports override

My name is Merry Grace and I am a proud mom to three boys enrolled in Maricopa Unified schools.

They are part of the success stories that do not seem to get spotlighted these days. There are indeed many successful students that work hard and are exceeding within MUSD schools.

I am a very proactive and involved parent at the schools. My motto, when it comes to my boys’ education, has always been “you get out of it what you put into it.”

As parents we need to work together with the schools to ensure the success of our students. Together as a team, we CAN make a difference.

I would like to encourage parents to become more involved at the schools. Schools all over the country need our help more than ever. In the end, your kids are the ones who benefit from your involvement. That's what it's all about — our kids.

On Nov. 8, a very crucial vote is coming up for MUSD. I am very thankful for all of the educational opportunities my boys have such, as the gifted program, sports, new technology in the classes, Academic Leagues, National Junior Honor Society, honors classes and early high school credits at Maricopa Wells Middle School. I don't want to see these opportunities fade away.
