An argument over a tablet computer allegedly led a local man to assault his brother with a deadly weapon.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 19-year-old Kirk Enriquez Sept. 16 after they said he grabbed a knife during an assault on his brother in unincorporated Maricopa.

Deputies responded to the reported attack at a home near West Papago and North Brewer Roads. The fight allegedly stemmed from an argument over a tablet, according to Lauren Reimer, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

Enriquez wielded a knife and punched his brother during the altercation, Reimer said. The brother did not sustain any injuries.

Another family member wrestled the knife away from Enriquez before the cops showed up, according to PCSO.

Enriquez was arrested and booked into the Pinal County jail on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

He faces four years in prison.
