Peek inside Maricopa’s new bark park

Pet parents rejoice — Fido will soon have a new play place at Copper Sky Regional Park.

This week, crews installed dog park equipment in a vacant field near Copper Sky Lake. The 40,000-square-foot grassy area features benches, waste stations and agility equipment for the pups.

City officials are mum for now on the park’s opening date. However, it will eventually replace the existing dog park at Copper Sky, according to city spokesperson Brandon Lavorgna.
