Pima Butte MOMS Club to visit kennel on Wednesday

The Pima Butte Maricopa MOMS Club at 10 a.m. Wednesday will visit Abbott’s German Shepard Kennel in Maricopa.

Abbott’s German Shepherds is a family owned and run, licensed kennel. The owner, Ranelle Abbott, and her children have volunteered to host this event. “

The children will have the opportunity to learn about these amazing dogs and puppies through educational activities and a mock dog show,” said Darlene Gaudette, a spokeswoman for the Mom’s Club.

The learning activities involve vaccinations, nutrition, grooming, and canine anatomy. The children may bring healthy doggie treats to feed the dogs and donated toys, collars, and leashes to use in the mock dog show.

DIRECTIONS: Go about three miles south of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort Hotel to Papago Road. Take a right, go about two more miles. Look for a row of small stores the road just before turning left on White Road. Continue one more mile to Val Vista Road and turn right. Abbotts about one mile ahead on the right and is marked with a sign that says Abbott’s German Shepherds.
