County offers $15 flu shots

Pinal County Public Health will provide flu shots to the public starting Oct. 1. Appointments can be made starting Monday.

To schedule appointments for adults, call toll free 1-888-431-1311, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Children may be vaccinated on a walk-in basis.

Flu shots throughout the Pinal County Public Health Services District are $15. For those unable to schedule appointments, walk-ins will be taken 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. after Oct. 20 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Maricopa clinic, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road.

To reduce the chance of catching the flu this season, the Public Health Department recommends frequent hand washing using soap and warm water for 30 seconds.

The clinic will be closed: Oct. 2, Oct. 8, Nov. 6, Nov. 12 and Nov. 22.
