Police aiding local food bank to help Maricopa families

More than 200 Maricopa families need assistance this holiday season in order to put food on the table. In an effort to help these families, the City of Maricopa Police Association has partnered with Maricopa’s local food bank, F.O.R. Maricopa, in a local food drive.

Through December 17, the police will be collecting the following:
> Turkey
> Ham
> Roasts
> Butter or margarine
> Pie Crusts

In addition, the foods listed below can be donated anytime before the holidays:
> Any boxed or canned goods
> Cranberry sauce
> Olives
> Stuffing mix
> Mashed potatos
> Yams, corn, green beans
> Dinner rolls

Donations will be accepted to City Hall, 45145 W. Madison Ave., and the police department lobby, 45147 W. Madison. If you wish to make a financial donation, Wells Fargo and AmTrust banks have an account set up. If you have questions, please call (520) 316-6868.
