A local man was arrested Monday for returning to his ex-girlfriend’s home after being ordered to stay away.

Noe Perez is charged with 3rd degree criminal trespassing, police said.

Around 8 a.m., Maricopa police were called to a home on West Blazen Trail in Senita. Officers made contact with Perez, who was informed he was not allowed at the residence per the request of the residents. Perez was told if he returned to the home, he would be arrested. He stated he understood and would not come back, police said.

A few hours later, officers were summoned to the home again because Perez was back in their front yard. Officers asked Perez why he returned after their previous interaction. He claimed he spoke with his ex-girlfriend over the phone prior to his arrival. He told officers that the woman was pregnant with his child and she said he could come get his things out of the house.

But the homeowners told police Perez had never called and did not have permission to be at the home. Reviewing call logs, police found no calls between Perez and the resident.

Perez was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail. He was no longer being held as of Thursday morning, according to online inmate records.
