Popular Mexican restaurant coming to Maricopa 

Filiberto’s is bringing its unique brand of authentic Mexican food to Maricopa with a location in Sonoran Creek Marketplace. 

The Mesa-based chain will occupy the westernmost unit in the building that houses MOD Pizza and ATI Physical Therapy, on John Wayne Parkway just south of Culver’s. The end unit also has a drive-through lane.  

The chain, founded in Mesa in 1993, grew to 10 locations in just a few years, and soon thereafter began offering carry-out and drive-through service. Today, Filiberto’s has grown to 55 stores in three states – Arizona, California and New Mexico.  

The stores typically are open 24 hours a day and serve a menu of traditional Mexican favorites including meat and fish tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas and other favorites. 

There is no firm opening date available for the restaurant at this time.
