Eddie and Carmen Hurtado are at it again.

The Maricopa couple dress up their house every Christmas in a very, very big way. The outside is spectacular, but the inside is like nothing else in town. It has become known as the Christmas Tree House.

The Hurtados put up more than 30 decorated trees, giving their home its unofficial holiday moniker.  They have been collecting Christmas trees since 2009. They also display miniature villages in nearly every room, more than 30 Santas – from old world to totally hip – and more than 40 snowmen.

Best of all, they open their home to the community. They also have collection boxes for toys or canned goods to go to local nonprofits.

Special needs families can make private appointments to tour the home.

The Hurtado home is open to the public evenings from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The house is at 18522 N. Carmen Ave. They can be contacted at [email protected].
