Maricopa Police Department is investigating reports of repeated gunfire at a home in Desert Passage last night.

Officers responded to shots fired at West Helen Court just after 10 p.m., according to Monica Williams, a spokesperson for the department.

A neighbor described hearing several rapid gunshots but did not see any of the people involved.

“Officers discovered 15 spent shell casings in the street near the intersection of Sands Drive and Helen Court,” Williams said. “Officers canvassed the area for victims, suspects and bullet impacts but none were found.”

Maricopa detectives have taken over the case as the investigation continues.
